Hello everyone!

It’s been an awesome journey for me since www.thepraisesofGod.com was launched on this platform. THANK YOU for being a part of the history of this blog. I couldn’t have wished for a better audience. The thirst for more Praise and worship songs gave birth to ORIKI OLORUN OLODUMARE volume 1 and that opened a whole new chapter of my life that I didn’t know existed.

www.thepraisesofGod.com  is announcing the release of ORIKI OLORUN OLODUMARE volume 1.

It’s a 10-Track Folkloric Album musical that expresses the awesome majesty of an invincible GOD – HIS sovereignty, holiness, and knowledge, in large part through oral communication, Yoruba traditional chants, musical drama, and storytelling. The only English song in the album is a call to complete surrender to the mysterious power of the ALMIGHTY GOD.

ORIKI OLORUN OLODUMARE volume 1 is a complete spiritual yet entertainment album where all musical and lyrical ideas infused to a single overall description of the ALMIGHTY GOD. It is predominantly described by the term ‘NEW CONCEPT’ by my release audience.  It was recorded in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and mixed in Nigeria. The lyrics and chants are literarily taken out of the Holy Bible. The songs are produced by Mr Olabode Afolabi.

The music video of one of the songs ‘JAGUNJAGUN L’OLUWA’ a sub-genre of epic film, written by me and to be directed by the award-winning Nigeria Movie Director; Funke Fayoyin will be out soon.

I’ll post snippets of the songs before the year runs out.

I’ll work harder to post more on ORIKI OLORUN OLODUMARE.

Thank you so much for urging me on.

Best regards always,

Bolanle Ojo

Omnipresent GOD; Wonderful
HIS court is full of praises
Counselor; The almighty GOD
The everlasting FATHER; The Prince of peace
The unsearchable GOD
HE gives snow like wool; HE scatters frost like ashes.
HE hurls down his crystals of mice like crumbs;
HE covers the heavens with clouds;
HE prepares rain for the earth; HE makes grass grow on the hills.
HE gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens that cry
But the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him,
In those who hope in HIS steadfast love.
Who can stand before his cold?
Praise the LORDfrom the earth,
You great sea creatures and all deeps,
Fire and hail, snow and mist, Stormy wind fulfilling his word!
Mountains and all hills, and fruit trees
Praise the name of the LORD
Praise the LORD from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all deeps,
Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
Princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together, old men and children!
Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For HIS name alone is exalted;
HIS majesty is above earth and heaven.
Praise HIM in the firmament of his power
The greatest unsearchable GOD
My GOD! The strength of my salvation
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised
YOU deliver us from deadly diseases and noisome pestilence
To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishments on the peoples,
To bind their enemies with chains and fetters of iron,
To execute on them the judgment written!
Let burning coals fall upon them!
Let them be thrown into fire, into miry pits, no more to rise!
Don’t let the slanderer be established in the land;
Don’t let evil hunt down the violent man speedily!
Praise the LORD
Holy! Holy!! Holy!!!

JOBU 37
“Fetí sílẹ̀, ìwọ ọrẹ́ mi, dúró kí o sì ronú nípa àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu ỌLỌRUN
Hearken unto this, my friend: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of GOD
2Gbọ́ ohùn ỌLỌRUN tí ń dún bí ààrá, ati ariwo tí ń ti ẹnu OLODUMARE jáde.
2 Hear attentively the noise of HIS voice, and the sound that goeth out of HIS mouth.
3 ỌLỌRUN ti ó rán mànàmáná jákèjádò ojú ọ̀run, títí dé òpin ilẹ̀ ayé.
3 HE directeth it under the whole heaven, and HIS lightning unto the ends of the earth.
4 Ìró ohùn ỌLỌRUN sọ̀rọ̀ ninu ọlá ńlá wọn, bí ìgbà tí ààrá bá sán, sibẹsibẹ kò dá mànàmáná dúró bí àwọn eniyan ti ń gbóhùn ỌLỌRUN.
4 After it a voice roareth: HE thundereth with the voice of HIS excellency; and HE will not stay them when HIS voice is heard
5Ohùn ỌLỌRUN dún bí ààrá tìyanu-tìyanu, a kò lè rí ìdí iṣẹ́ ìyanu ENI agba ọjọ
5 GOD thundereth marvelously with HIS voice; great things doeth HE, which we cannot comprehend.
6ỌBA to pàṣẹ pé kí yìnyín rọ̀ sórí ilẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ náà ni òjò wẹliwẹli, ati ọ̀wààrà òjò.
6 For HE saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7 Ó ká gbogbo eniyan lọ́wọ́ iṣẹ́ kò, kí wọ́n lè mọ iṣẹ́ rẹ̀.
7 HE sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know HIS work.
8 Àwọn ẹranko wọ ihò wọn lọ, wọ́n dákẹ́ sibẹ, wọ́n sá pamọ́.
8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9 Ìjì líle fẹ́ jáde láti inú yàrá rẹ̀, òtútù sì mú wá láti inú afẹ́fẹ́ tí ń fẹ́.
9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10Yìnyín ti inú èémí ỌLỌRUN wá, gbogbo omi inú odò sì dì
10 By the breath of GOD frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 ỌLỌRUN fi omi kún inú ìkùukùu, ìkùukùu sì fọ́n mànàmáná rẹ̀ ká.
11 Also by watering HE wearieth the thick cloud: HE scattereth HIS bright cloud:
1DSC_00392Wọ́n ń yípo lábẹ́ ìtọ́ni rẹ̀, láti mú gbogbo àṣẹ tí ó pa ṣẹ, lórí ilẹ̀ alààyè.
12 and it is turned round about by HIS counsels: that they may do whatsoever HE commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
15Ǹjẹ́ o mọ bí ỌLỌRUN ṣe pàṣẹ, tí ó sì mú kí mànàmáná awọsanma tàn?
15 Dost thou know when GOD disposed them, and caused the light of HIS cloud to shine?
16Ǹjẹ́ o mọ̀ bí ỌLỌRUN ṣe so awọsanma rọ̀, iṣẹ́ ìyanu ENI tí ó pé ní ìmọ̀ ni;
16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of HIM which is perfect in knowledge?
17Ìwọ tí ooru mú nígbà tí ayé dákẹ́ rọ́rọ́ nítorí pé afẹ́fẹ́ ìhà gúsù kò fẹ́?
17 How thy garments are warm, when HE quieteth the earth by the south wind?
18Ṣé o lè tẹ́ ojú ọ̀run bí ỌLỌRUN ti tẹ́ ẹ, kí ó le, kí ó sì dàbí dígí tí ń dán?
18 Hast thou with HIM spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking-glass?
21“Ẹnikẹ́ni kò lè wo ìmọ́lẹ̀ ojú ọ̀run nígbà tí ó bá ń tàn ní awọsanma, nígbà tí afẹ́fẹ́ bá fẹ́ tí ó sì gbá wọn lọ.
21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
22Láti ìhà àríwá ni ỌLỌRUN ti yọ, ó fi ọlá ńlá, tí ó bani lẹ́rù, bora bí aṣọ.
22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with GOD is terrible majesty.
23Àwámárìídìí ni Olodumare– agbára ati ìdájọ́ òtítọ́ rẹ̀ pọ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ỌLỌRUN kì í kọ òdodo sílẹ̀.
23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: HE is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: HE will not afflict.

JOB 36

26Wò ó, Ọlọrun tóbi lọ́ba, ju ìmọ̀ wa lọ, kò sí ẹni tí ó lè mọ ọjọ́ orí rẹ̀.
26 How great is God–beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out.

27“Ó fa ìkán omi sókè láti inú ilẹ̀, ó sọ ìkùukùu di òjò,
27 “He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams

28 ó sì rọ òjò sílẹ̀ láti ojú ọ̀run sórí ọmọ eniyan lọpọlọpọ.
28 the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.

29Ta ló mọ bí ó ti tẹ́ ìkùukùu? Tabi bí ó ṣe ń sán ààrá láti inú àgọ́ rẹ̀?
29 Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion?

30 Ó fi mànàmáná yí ara rẹ̀ ká, ó sì bo ìsàlẹ̀ òkun mọ́lẹ̀.
30 See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.

31Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó ṣe ń ṣàkóso àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè; ó sì ń fún wọn ní oúnjẹ lọpọlọpọ.
31 This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance.

32Ìkáwọ́ rẹ̀ ni mànàmáná wà, ó sì ń rán ààrá láti sán lu ohun tí ó bá fẹ́.
32 He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.

33Ìró ààrá ń kéde bíbọ̀ rẹ̀, àwọn ẹran ọ̀sìn sì mọ̀ pé ó súnmọ́ tòsí.
33 His thunder announces the coming storm; even the cattle make known its approach.
